Meet Darrell Avans

Founder and Owner of Avans Electric

Darrell Avans is more than the founder of Avans Electric; he is a devoted husband, proud father, man of faith, talented singer, and someone who has always felt called to serve others.
 
For more than 17 years, Darrell worked as a high-performing electrician for a large national franchise, building a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, strong leadership, and genuine care for his customers. Throughout his career, he saw firsthand how high franchise costs and overhead could make essential electrical services difficult for many families to afford. He knew there had to be a better way to provide top-of-the-line electrical work without sacrificing honesty, quality, or fair pricing.

That belief inspired him to become a business owner and establish Avans Electric

Darrell founded Avans Electric with a desire to make a meaningful difference in the electrical industry and in the lives of the people his company serves. His vision was to build a locally owned company where customers could receive exceptional service, dependable workmanship, and straightforward options from electricians they could trust. For Darrell, every customer is more than a service call; they are a neighbor, a family, and someone deserving of care and respect.
 
His commitment to helping others is deeply rooted in his faith. Darrell loves God, his church, and using his talents to encourage those around him, including through singing and ministry. Whether he is helping a family restore safety to their home, supporting someone through a difficult season, or giving an employee an opportunity to grow, serving others is at the center of who he is.
 
Darrell’s vision for Avans Electric extends far beyond building a successful company. He wants the business to create lasting opportunities for good people and their families. His goal is to provide employees with meaningful careers, valuable lifelong skills, strong leadership, and the ability to build a better life for themselves and the people they love.
 
As Avans Electric continues to grow, Darrell remains committed to surrounding himself with people who share the company’s values: integrity, hard work, compassion, excellence, and service. With more than 24 years of experience in the electrical industry, Darrell brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and attending church.

Luke

Service Technician

Luke is a licensed journeyman electrician who enjoys working on the farm when he’s off the clock. Spending time with his family and being involved in church are also important parts of his life.

Ian

Service Technician

When Ian isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, attending church, working out, and playing video games. You’ll rarely find him starting his day without a cup of black coffee!

Jordan

Service Technician

Jordan enjoys spending his free time with his kids and staying busy outdoors. Whether he’s working in the yard, driving his tractor, or tinkering with cars and equipment, he always enjoys having a project to work on.

Matt

Service Technician

Outside of work, Matt enjoys riding dirt bikes and hiking with his family. When it comes to his favorite food, you can’t go wrong with pizza!

Kevin

Service Technician

Kevin is a Generac-certified technician who enjoys spending time with his family and children, attending church, and lending a helping hand to others. His favorite food is authentic Mexican tacos!
